Project Scope: New manufacturing plant addition and expansion
Tredit Tire and Wheel Company is one of the nation’s largest tire and wheel suppliers to the RV, trailer, and manufactured housing industries. Our team completed Tredit's 129,570-square-foot design-build manufacturing project in 2007. Our crews utilized a mix of Butler pre-engineered metal buildings and conventional construction to achieve a retail façade on their manufacturing facility.
We returned in 2018 to complete an 111,000-square-foot tire and wheel warehouse addition and expansion to their manufacturing facility. The new addition added 11 receiving truck docks so the existing eight dock positions could be dedicated for shipping purposes. Different building heights and geometry required the first bay of the new addition to be designed for snow drift conditions. This meant heavily reinforcing the double roof structural members. Additionally, there was a 35,000-square-foot building on the property which was demolished to make room for the expansion, the steel was hauled away, and the concrete and masonry was ground and reused on site.
J. A. Wagner has also completed facilities for Tredit Tire & Wheel Company in Florida and Georgia.
