Posted by Andrew Harman on Jun 14, 2018 9:49:59 AM

J.A. Wagner has completed a 42,875-square-foot production and warehouse space for Shield Restraint Systems, Inc. Located at 3802 Gallatin Way in Elkhart, Indiana, the pre-engineered steel structure is an addition to an existing facility built by our team in 2006. The expansion adds 10,500 square feet of warehouse space with two loading docks and a new 32,375-square-foot temperature-controlled production area.

Shield produces restraints and retraction systems for ATVs, child seats, forklifts, off-road equipment, recreational vehicles, trucks, buses, and airplanes. Around the world, leading vehicle manufacturers, aftermarket distributors, seating providers, and child safety seat manufacturers all trust Shield for quality occupant safety systems and restraints.

This expansion required the installation of some unique equipment, including a 300-ton stamping press with an isolated foundation, five 180-ton horizontal molding presses, one 40-ton molding press, and an overhead bus duct to power the assembly cells.

J.A. Wagner is pleased to announce the completion of Center six one five, a state-of-the-art convention center and meeting space located in Elkhart, Indiana. Not only does this facility bring much-needed meeting space to Elkhart, but it also helps realize the dream of late local entrepreneur, Gary Price. Design-Build Spotlight on Vista Manufacturing, Inc.

Posted by Tony Harman on Sep 21, 2016 10:23:00 AM

Vista Manufacturing, Inc., the premier name in LED lighting products, incandescent lighting products and custom LED panels for more than 35 years, selected J.A. Wagner Construction in 2013 as the contractor for their new company headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana.

Tod E. Tieszen, President of Vista, reached out to J.A. Wagner for assistance in finding and upgrading an existing building in the area that would fit the company’s current needs, as well as to accommodate the manufacturer’s future growth. When those prospects fell through, J.A. Wagner proposed the development of a new site and facility for Vista.

Rather than having to conform to an existing structure, J.A. Wagner could build the exact facility that Vista’s growing business required. “Wagner came along side us and helped us with the design of the building, and even facilitated the purchase of the property with the land owner,” noted Tieszen.
